
This is Goria Painter, the Assistant Principal at Iotla Valley Elementary. I am calling with some important announcements for this week.
Our book fair will continue to be open on Monday and Tuesday. Parents can shop with their students from 7:30 to 8:00 and 2:45 to 3:30 each day.
On Monday, our 3rd/ 4th-grade choir club will meet after school.
We are celebrating National Custodian Appreciation Day on Wednesday, which we missed last week. We want to thank our custodians for all their hard work each day to make our school safe and clean. The work they do every day makes a huge impact on our school, and we thank them for their hard work.
Progress reports will be sent home with 3rd and 4th graders on Wednesday.
On Thursday, we will have picture retakes for those who were absent on picture day. Our PTO will meet at 1:30 in the conference room. If you would like to help our PTO staff or be a part of helping Iotla, we invite you to join us.
On Friday, Students can wear a hat at school for $1. All money raised will help support our end-of-year field day. Students can also wear their Iotla Valley shirts for school spirit.
Attendance Information: Every day a student is in school is an opportunity to learn, build relationships, and access support.

Picture Re-take Day


We would love for parents to come shop at book fair on Friday, Oct 3. Times are 7:30-8:00 and 2:45-3:00. Students will be able to shop throughout the day Friday, Monday, and Tuesday.

Book fair will be open for student shopping tomorrow and Friday. Parents are welcome to come on Friday from 7:30-8:00, and 2:45-3:30. When I can confirm how many days we can be open next week I will send updated information. We are so excited to welcome you back!


Iotla Valley students will return to school tomorrow, Thursday, Oct. 3rd. Please send in any Little Ceaser's Pizza order forms by Friday, Oct. 4th.

Announcements September 23-27:

Fourth Grade Choir Club will meet on Monday after school until it's time for bus dismissal.
Our 3rd Grade parent meeting will be on Thursday, September 26th at 6:00 pm.
Friday, September 27th: Students can wear a hat at school for $1. All money raised will help support our end-of-year field day. Students can also wear their Iotla Valley shirts for school spirit. Progress reports will also be sent home.
There is a calendar change. October 30th will now be half a day for students.
Yearbook - order forms were sent home this past week, and a QR code will posted on our social media outlets and through rooms.
The PTO’s Little Ceasers Fundraiser supports upgrading our gymnasium sound system so that all voices can be heard during our special programs. All order forms are due Sept. 27th.
SMENCILS are on sale every morning. They are $2 each or $5 for 3.

Attendance Information: The most crucial learning hours of a school day are the morning hours because this is when students are most
attentive. Students who are tardy miss the beginning of their morning classes.

Nominate a teacher who has made a difference in your life!
Ingles and WYFF 4 want to reward the teachers who are going above and beyond. Each week, an area teacher will be selected to receive the Golden Apple Award and profiled on Thursdays on WYFF News 4. These weekly winners will be chosen from your nominations by a panel of judges. At the end of the school year, a Teacher of the Year will be selected from the weekly winners.



Announcements Sept. 16th

Parents, we are actively working to send invitations for your student's registration through Infinite Campus. Please check your email for an invitation. If you have not received an email, please communicate this with your student's classroom teacher and have them send the email to our data manager. Once your account is set up, you must go to the online registration link at the bottom of the app.

Fri., Sept. 20 is Western Day - dress in your best jeans, boots, and western gear.
Attendance Information: Attending school regularly helps children feel better about school—and themselves. Start building this habit in preschool, so they learn right away that going to school on time every day is important. Eventually, good attendance will be a skill that will help them succeed in high school and college.

A reminder that t-shirts are still available to order and sminels will be sold on Monday mornings.
Attendance information- Missing 10%, or about 2 days each month over the course of a school year, can make it harder to learn and read.

Wednesday, September 4th, is Picture Day.
Please make sure you have your car rider pass placed on the visor. This makes it easier for the person who is calling for car riders.
If you have placed an IVE t-shirt order via Google Form or through your child's classroom teacher, please send the payment through your student folder or at the front office. Orders are due by September 13th.
This is a reminder that SMINCELS are on sale Monday mornings. They are $2 each or $5 for 3. This is a fundraiser for our field day at the end of the school year.
This Friday is another Wolfpack Spirt Day. Please wear your IVE t-shirt from previous school years if you have one.
Attendance information - We can’t afford to think of absenteeism as merely a lack of compliance with school rules. Absences represent lost opportunities to learn in the classroom.

We are excited to have students back on campus this week.
Our Pre-K students have an assigned day on which they will attend their first day of school. This information was provided in your packets.
Kindergarten boys will attend all day on Monday, and kindergarten girls will attend all day on Tuesday. The regular schedule for Kindergarten will start on Wednesday.
This week - Parents K—4: If you are walking your student into school, use the gym doors. Pre-K parents use the Pre-K pick-up and drop-off door.
Friday is school spirit day - please wear your Iotla Valley t-shirts.
School will be closed Monday, September 2nd, in observance of Labor Day. Enjoy this day with your families.
